The Inspiration: Cash had been fascinated with prison life since seeing the film Inside the Walls of Folsom Prison in 1951, which inspired his 1955 hit song, "Folsom Prison Blues". The Setlist: The crowd was famously boisterous and engaged, creating an electric atmosphere. The set included prison-themed tracks and was famously closed out with "Greystone Chapel," a song written by Folsom inmate Glen Sherrill.
