Amy Winehouse (1983–2011) was a critically acclaimed English singer-songwriter known for her deep, expressive contralto vocals and a unique blend of soul, jazz, R&B, and reggae. Iconic for her signature beehive hairdo, heavy eyeliner, and retro style, she achieved global stardom with her 2006 album Back to Black, which won five Grammy Awards. Her raw, honest songwriting often touched on personal struggles with love, heartbreak, and addiction.
